How do I make a claim?
It’s easy to make a claim - you can do this by calling 0330 100 3305 (Monday to Friday 09:00 am - 5:00 pm). You’ll receive an electronic or paper claim form that needs to be completed along with photos detailing the damage.
The administrator will need the following information:
- Personal and vehicle details
- Full details of the damage
- Photographs of the damage
- Any other information reasonably required
All claims must be received within 30 days of the incident date.
What else do I need to know?
All claims are reviewed by the administrator. If the policy covers the claim the administrator will provisionally authorise your claim and instruct you to arrange the repair.
- An Approved Repairer will be appointed to handle the repair
- The vehicle can be subject to an independent inspection if required
- If a contribution is authorised, you must pay for this repair in the first instance and send the administrator a copy of the invoice.
You must comply with the claims procedure as explained in the terms and conditions.
If upon inspection by the Repairer it is deemed that for technical reasons the Minor Cosmetic Damage cannot be repaired using RAC Scratch and Dent Repair technique, or the Vehicle is not eligible for cover, the Administrator reserves the right to decline Your claim at this stage.
Only the Administrator can accept or decline claims. You must allow the Administrator or Us (or the Repairer) access to inspect Your Vehicle if it is the subject of a claim. We reserve the right to settle Your claim in cash up to the Benefit amount shown in Your Schedule in lieu of arranging a repair of Your Vehicle. Once the repair is complete, You must check that all work has been properly completed. If the work has not been completed to a satisfactory level, You must notify the Repairer if still on site or contact the Administrator as soon as possible.
